During many of the interviews of the early Latino pioneers who came to Rhode Island, we found one thing in common: because all of them came from warm climates, they had never experienced snow or the cold weather.

Many of you today have probably had the same experience, whether you moved here from a Latin-American country, or from another state where the climate is warmer. What were you thinking when you saw snow for the first time? What did you do? And how did you feel?
