The Latino Oral History Project of RI (Nuestras Raíces) was started in 1991 and is managed by Rhode Island Latino Arts. It is a collection of the oral stories of Rhode Island’s Spanish-speaking pioneers. Our work continues and more stories will be added.

We are looking for individuals who are considered Latino "pioneers" - anyone who first moved to Rhode Island from a Latin American country and did something to prepare the way for future generations of Latinos.
