Sun. May 7 • 11am-1pm - in partnership with GrowSmart RI.
Sun. June 18 • 11am-1pm - This is a walking tour, but you can also bring your bicycle and ride along.
Thu. July 20 • 5:30-7pm - This tour is part of Museo del Barrio | PVD 2023. We will end at the Broad Street Gateway Center.
Thu. Aug. 10 | Rescheduled to Thu. August 31 • 5:30-7:30pm - During this tour, you will learn the story of the Chimi trucks that line Broad Street in the evening. Be prepared to purchase from one or more of the many trucks out that night.
Wed. Sept. 6 • 5:30-6:30pm - At the end of this tour, we will wind down with an informal Bachata session.
Wed. Oct. 10 • 5:30-7pm - This tour will focus on first-person oral histories found in the book Nuestras Raíces, which have inspired the play to be performed at Trinity Repertory in January 2024.

Meet 15 minutes before the scheduled start time in the grass area of the Roger Williams Park @Broad Street entrance. The address you can use to search is 1232 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02905, and the location where we will be meeting is across Broad Street. The tours last approximately 1.5 hours.
Ample street parking is available on Miller Street or Broad Street, and also next to the tennis courts, just inside the park entrance.

Bicycle Enthusiasts: You can also ride your bike, try out the new Urban Trail on Broad Street and join the Museo del Barrio | Art on La Calle Broa' at 5pm at Mills Coffee parking lot on 1058 Broad Street. Enjoy a drumming circle and learn bachata moves. Have dinner at one of the many Chimi Trucks parked on Broad Street.

The Rosarios helped the growing number of families from the Dominican Republic who moved to Rhode Island and made it one of the largest Dominican communities in the United States.
NOTE: We will be walking on busy sidewalks and crossing a highway overpass. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

The event is being directed and produced by creative artist, Marcel Mascaró and co-produced with the help of Isabelle Stevens.

- TBD | NO RAIN DATEMarta V. Martínez and Candelaria Danicher will take you on a personal tour of Upper Broad Street. Martínez will discuss the history of Broad Street and Candelariaa, lifelong resident of South Providence, will share personal stories.
Meet on Ontario Street, on the side of Food Basket. During the tour, we will walk North along Broad Street and swing back to end our walk with dessert at a local bakery.

Joann Ayuso, resident of the West End of Providence and Marta V. Martínez of RILA will take you on a personal tour of this diverse neighborhood. You will experience that diversity as we visit a local Hmong Temple, an Asian Market, Central American and Dominican bodegas and learn about one of the largest and most active African-American congregations in the city. The tour will allow for participants to purchase dinner or lunch at any of the local Latino eateries of your choice.
Meet at Dexter Park [Training Ground] on Parade Street and Dexter, 15 minutes prior to listed time. Ample street parking around the park. The tour runs approximately 1.5 hours with time to eat at the end. Wear comfortable shoes and bring $$ to pay for your meal.

Tatiana Baena, Marcela Betancur and Stelly DaMoura, residents of Central Falls, will take you on a personal tour of their home town. On April 3rd, you will stroll along Dexter Street, meet some of the business owners and end your tour with dinner. On May 4th, you will learn a bit of history of this industrial city, as you make your way to Jenks Park and climb to the top of Cogswell Tower.
Meet at La Galería @RILA, 209 Central St. Central Falls, RI 02863. Park in the back lot or in designated street parking. Each tour runs approximately 2 hours, with time to eat at the end. Wear comfortable shoes and bring $$ to pay for your meal.
